What we did
We conducted an initial analysis of the global watches market to identify the key performance indicators and their values. Then, we handpicked several countries of each main region with the highest potential based on client feedback.
The short-listed country markets were then analysed in further detail. The goal of the analysis was to show the trends and factors that influence the selected markets’ overall development and possible future scenarios.
For the project, we conducted more than 100 market expert interviews with experts from various countries around the globe.
Results
The client was able to gain a comprehensive understanding of their markets of interest and create a new niche in the global watches market. They successfully launched one of the most innovative consumer electronics products at the time, which forever changed the global watches market. The client is currently the global market leader of the niche, which accounts for more than half of the watch market’s global value.

Large Oil and Gas Producer

One of the leading oil and gas producers in the world wanted to increase the market share of their lubricant products in several specific country markets in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. To do so, the client wanted to shift from an exporting business model to a local production one.
What we did
We conducted an initial analysis of the lubricants markets of 15 countries in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. With these insights, we were able to recommend five countries with the highest potential based on the client’s needs.
In the next step, our research team conducted a more in-depth analysis of the short listed country markets. Based on the analysis, we advised the client regarding existing depreciated assets they could acquire. Furthermore, we identified the most suitable locations to begin building new production facilities.
For this project, we conducted more than 200 interviews with market experts from countries in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Results
At the end of the project, the client received a comprehensive report that detailed each of their chosen markets’ reality, opportunities, and threats. As a result, the client was able to purchase specific distressed assets in some of the chosen countries. The acquisitions significantly altered the client’s initial plan and reduced their cost estimation. For the rest of the short listed country markets, they began construction of their own production facilities.

Leading Oil and Petrochemical Producer

One of the leading oil and petrochemical producers was experiencing loss in profitability due to falling oil prices. They wanted to diversify their portfolio to make better use of the crude oil they extract.
The client’s goal was to identify suitable petrochemicals and build production facilities to improve their profitability and add more value to their business. However, despite substantial technical expertise, they lacked crucial financial information on the products and markets to develop an effective strategy.
What we did
We conducted an in-depth analysis of nearly 50 distinct petrochemicals across more than 150 countries for each one. Then, we presented the client with insights on where significant differences between supply and demand exist. Afterwards, we made recommendations on several high-potential markets for their future products.
Furthermore, the analysis highlighted the differences in price for the same product across different countries and regions. Thus, displaying where the client can sell their products at the highest possible price.
For this project, we conducted nearly 2,500 interviews with market experts from around the globe.
Results
Based on the analysis, the oil and petrochemical producer chose 13 of the 50 petrochemicals, which were then subject to a further technical analysis by the client. After assessment of manufacturing possibilities and capacity, the client currently produces two of the shortlisted petrochemicals.
